How to make Pineapple Juice Hand Lotion


Sometimes you have been wondering how you can make your own Pineapple Juice Hand Lotion. This formulation can solve your problem.
Ingredients                                                                 Percentage
Irish moss mucilage 3%                                                          37%
Glycerine                                                                                 10%
Alcohol                                                                                    15%
Borax acid                                                                                0.5%
Tincture benzoin                                                                      0.5%
Pineapple juices                                                                       36.8%
Methylparaben                                                                         0.2%
Procedure:

Make the moss mucilage by soaking three percent of Irish moss in ninety-seven percent amount of clean water (distilled water) for twelve hours or overnight.  Drain off the mucilage, and then follow by adding the exact amount of the ingredients listed above while stirring. Let the mixture settle, strain/sieve then fill in your desired container. The methylparaben is used in the mixture as a preservative.

A student failed to add sodium carbonate (Na 2 CO 3 ) when extracting caffeine from tea leaves with hot water. Though, high yield of caffeine was produced. The crystals melted at temperatures between 202  and 214 degree  Celsius. Explain. This happened because sodium carbonate did not interfere with the caffeine content of the tea leaves. Sodium carbonate (which is a base) deprotonates the phenolic hydroxyl group (-OH) (acidic) of tannins rendering them anionic. Hence, making them highly soluble in water, but parsimoniously soluble in methylene chloride. So, if sodium carbonate is not added when extracting caffeine with hot water, the extracted caffeine would also contain tannins.
